Members of the Grand Challenges in Assessment Project will introduce how members of the assessment community are using assessment findings to increase equity across higher education. Members of the Equity Action Makers Interview working group conducted twenty loosely scripted interviews with identified assessment leaders to discuss equity projects undertaken in higher education, the involvement of stakeholders in these projects, and the assessment leaders’ reflections in order to generate a broad understanding of the multiple ways people are approaching increasing equity through assessment work across campus. This session introduces this project and how these rich interviews are being turned into “spotlights” to highlight the lessons learned and potential strategies to engage the assessment community.
